Listing Options
For individual therapists in their own private practice, CounsellingVancouver.com offers two types of Basic listings or a Superior listing. For details, please see below.
For Agencies and Group Practices, CounsellingVancouver.com offers three different listing options. Please see below.
In addition, we offer Workshop listings, (workshops for the public, group therapy, etc. workshops for therapists), Professional Development and Clinical supervisions opportunities, training schools, classified ads, anner ads, etc. As each of these will be unique in presentation and variously located on the web site, please call and we will negotiate style, position on the web site, size and rates.
Basic Listing
There are two different optons for Basic listings.
Option One - your name is presented in the Directory of Therapists as a link to a subpage (within CounsellingVancouver.com) which includes detailed contact information such as your phone number, fax number if desired or in the alternate, a cell phone number or toll free number, street address and postal code, practice locations by City and area, an active link to your external web page if you have one, an active email link, and a 150 word text description of services and if desired, a bold header or summary descriptive summary phrase such as "individual and couples therapy" . Click here to see an example of this, most common,choice of listing. In the Directory of therapists, along with your name, your qualifications and practice locations are also presented as well as icons (for additional languages spoken, wheelchair access etc.) The linked subpage repeats and expands upon the more basic presentation in the directory.
Option Two - presents your name as an active link within the Directory of Therapists, linking it immediately out to your external web site. The same line within the Directory of Therapists includes, as in option one, your qualifications, icons of your choice, and one or two practice locations. Even though this type of listing is shorter / less detailed it is priced the same as option one, because the viewer leaves the directory immediately.
A Basic Listing is $125 for setup and the first year and $85 to renew for a second year.
Superior Listing
The Superior listing (also referred to as a subpages listing), like the basic listing, incldudes your name, and qualifications, icons of your choice, and one or two practice locations, within the Directory of Therapists. Your name links instead to a customized 6 page listing. Setup includes the creation of this 5 or 6 page web site which is hosted at VancouverCounselling.com. Each Superior listing has different colors and format. You can choose your color combinations. Your name in the main directory is active link to your Superior Listing/web site which has its own URL such as www.counsellingvancouver.com/MarietteWest Each of the 6 pages of your Superior Lisiting begins with a header section which contains contact information including an active email link and if you also have an external web site, it can link to that web site providing that web site is your own web site, not an agency web site. Those who choose a Superior Listing you may use and distribute the URL on other promotional materials such as business cards, brochures and stationery. An example of a Superior Listing may be seen by clicking on "Brenna King" in the Directory of Therapists.
A Superior Listing is $250 for setup and including listing fees for the first year; and $155 to purchase a second year or to renew after one year. No GST will be charged for first few years.
Agency / Group Practice Listings
We offer three types of agency / group practice listings.
Option One is a basic listing which is somewhat similar to the basic listing above however contact information is available immediately within the Directory of Agencies. In addition, the Agency name in the directory is a link to a subpage which repeats all of the contact information, and it also has three active links (one email link and two active links to the Agency's external web site) and finally, it has a 150 word description of services. To see an example of this type of listing, click on the words "Option One'' above. This option is a good choice for promoting an agency's services through our web site and/or to attract viewers to your agency's external web site. It is the also the most basic option for group practices with no external web. Rates for this option are $175 or setup and including the first year and $155 to purchase a second year or to renew at the end of one year.
Option Two includes your Agency's name and contact information including an active email link again within the Directory of Agencies. Your Agency name is also an active link to your external web site (eg. there is no 150 word text description of services, no subpage and although it has fewer active links/is shorter - it sends viewers immediately out to your external site and away from CounsellingVancouver.com Therefore, rates are the same as for Option one - $175 for setup and including the first year and $155 to purchase a second year; or to renew at the end of one year.
Option Three this option allows for each qualified therapist that is employed or contracted by an Agency to be listed within the Directory of Therapists along with the name of their agency in smaller italicized and indented script, both linking out to the Agency's external web site. Like other listings in this Directory, each therapist appears with his or her own postion in the Directory and each therapist's qualifications, icons (to describe languages spoken, wheelchair access, etc.) are included along with up to two practice locations. Rates will depend on the number of therapists in the agency or group practice. For example, the rate for setup and one year for a group practice of 3 - 5 therapists is $130 per therapist per year; the rate for 6 - 8 therapists is $125 per therapist per year; the rate for 9 - 12 therapists is $120 per therapist per year. Annual renewal is the same. This option is a powerful advertising option for group practices. Individual therapists are typically scattered throughout the length of the directory, and therefore, so too is the name of the agency.

''Living Systems'' has elected both Option Three and Option One above, and therefore they also appear under the Directory of Agencies, with a link to the subpage and 150 word description of services.
CounsellingVancouver.com is open to your creative suggestions for different types of listings. We are a growing and changing web site and hope to evolve to meet your needs.
Workshop Announcements and Other Display Ads
Such as those under the section call "Resources for Therapists" and "Resources for the Public" will be individually priced based on size of ad, complexity and number of times per year that changes will be requested. Please ask for details -- call 604.228.8079
Lifetime Listings
A lifetime listing will be listed for the lifetime of the web site and can be either a basic listing or a superior listing under the Directory of Therapists (Option One or Two) or under the Directory of Agencies (Option One Only) The lister will appear in the appropriate Directory (The Directory of Therapists, or the Directory of Agencies) for the lifetime of CounsellingVancouver.com for a single payment. A Lifetime Basic Listing for an individual therapist can be purchased at this time for $475 and a Lifetime Superior Listing can be purchased for $850. No GST will be charged at this time. Classified Ads
Classified ads are $45 for up to three lines for up to 6 months or $65 for a full year or until the ad has achieved its intended purpose, whichever comes first. In either case, each extra line is $9.00. These ads appear only under the section specifically called "classified ads" under Resources for therapists. If you have a Basic listing on this site, a 10% discount applies. If you have a Superior listing on this site, a 15% discount applies. Line length is the same as the lines in this paragraph.
Submit an Article
If you write an article for the section called "Resources for the Public" or for the section called "Resources for theapists" we will give you an extra, free link to your own listing on this site or to your external web site, as you choose. Discounts
If you are a listing member under the Directory of Therapists, and you refer another therapist who lists with our site, your own listing will be extended so as to expire 2 - 4 months later than your current expiration date. The referee must specifically mention you as their source when they request a listing.Various discounts and bonuses may be offered to potential listers by email and by phone during our first few years.
Please remember that we will charge an extra fee billed at a rate of $30 per 20 minute segment if we need to type your listing -- normal setup is to set up your subpages, links, style pages, etc. We hope you will present your information to us by email or email attachment. It is not our intention to act as editors but we reserve the right to refuse a listing or to request a rewording. Please see the application form under application & policies. If you are applying for a basic listing you can skip some sections of the form and just include the text description of your services, any contact information such as phone numbers, address, email address and the URL of your external web site if you have one. However, all applicants must sign the declaration as to the status of their membership in their professional association as well as the form itself where indicated. Each page other than the signature page, should be initialed. The form will then need to be emailed to Mariette West and it will also need to be posted as a legal signature is required - please call 604.228.8079 for instructions.
